You're one of my heroes, Michele, as you quietly battle Parkinson's with grace and fortitude and no self-pity! I pray the symptoms may be kept at bay for years to come. In the meantime, may that trip to PEI materialize and may it exceed your expectations! (I'm another who loved the Anne of Green Gables books. Our middle granddaughter enjoyed them last year (she's twelve now). I wonder if she's read the Emily of New Moon trilogy? It's such fun to talk books over the generations of daughters and Ds-I-L and granddaughters!
I love how you choose to keep looking for Jesus, and you keep celebrating life. I love how you choose to get up and walk because it’s a good way to battle PD and a pleasant way to encounter God in His creation.
I love that you continue to write your stories. I am sorry for the annoyances, and the downright maddening effects of PD on your body. My husband has become totally frustrated with his handwriting. It is so not fair, but thank you for living and writing your faith! Happy anniversary!!🌸🌿
Thank you for your words of encouragement. I’m grateful for every opportunity to glorify God, and while I wish sometimes that he had chosen a different story for me, I just can’t help but feel curious about how this is all going to point to his greatness.
Happy Anniversary! My friend taught me the saying: Motion is lotion. So I think of this as I add "lotion" on an arthritic hip with motion! I am reading L. M. Montgomery's journals as I prepare for a trip to PEI in June. They are so interesting! (She had a lot of challenges in life.) I do have the Emily series. Majority of my reading is Anne of Green Gables related currently! It is always a blessing to know other Anne fans!
I’ll make sure to post photos of PEI at my place! Also, I received a wonderful free map and tourists information in the mail (!) that I requested through PEI tourism website. I’m not sure they send for free to the USA, but you could try!
Congratulations on 35 years, Michele! My husband and I are closing in on 50. It does not seem possible. Yet as I was telling someone just today, "the sap is still running," and so are we. Thank you for sharing so transparently with us about the effects of Parkinson's. My longtime mentor's husband is living with it as well, and I pray for you both. Your writing is refreshing. Grateful.
And thank you for sharing your Parkinson's journey with us from time to time. Thank God, our diseases and ailments don't define us. We're defined by our Savior and He calls us beloved. I appreciate your pro-active approach to dealing with the symptoms and forging on ahead to all that He's calling you to, friend.
Thank you for your encouragement in this—I know it’s not cool to rehearse our ailments, but I am learning that we’ve all got “something” to deal with. I hope that my story will help someone with her particular “something.”
Happy Anniversary. We are thankful for our 45 years together. You are so right that what we perceive as little moments are really huge in the big picture of this journey called life. Prayers for you as you keep pushing through the disease process that wants to slow you down.
Thanks for the reminders and the encouragement. There are a couple of areas in my life where being more disciplined now would make a significant difference later.
The time at Spruce Creek was wonderful. I find that I take from it in the moment and then in the following days, I think and reflect on what was shared. There is such substance to your words. God's Word is amazing. Thanks for being vulnerable. ❤️
Congratulations on 35 years. God is so good! My husband and I have made it to 30 and certsinly know we couldn't have done that without the Lord. Thank you for sharing and encouraging and always pointing your readers to The Father.

Oooh, wouldn't it be great if you're on to a series she HASN'T read yet. I know I'm always desperate for new gift ideas for my grands.
I look forward to my grandgirls sharing some of my favorites, too!
And thank you so much for your words of encouragement and hope!
Happy Anniversary!! 💐

Doesn’t it seem unbelievable that we’ve been married for so long? Those numbers are absolutely incredible—but what a gift.
I always appreciate your kind words and your encouragement, Maggie!
You guys are so cute together!

Does it seem like an impossible time warp to you, too? I mean, how could we possibly have been married for so many decades when we’re so “young”?🤣
