As always, your book recommendations are wonderful.

Just added C S Lewis to my summer reading.

And added Peterson and Yancey to my TBR list.

A book I'd like to be stranded with: The Bible

I learn something new every time.

Oh that book study of "Till We Have Faces" was so life changing for me! Thank you for hosting and leading it so well, dear sister! I'm praying blessings for your upcoming speaking schedules now.

I am so appreciative of your prayers. And I also have wonderful memories of that group—which makes me wonder why I haven’t done a group for ages…?

What a wonderful list. I haven't read most of these so I look forward to adding them to my TBR stack!

I've only read one of these, Gilead, by Marilyyne Robinson. (Love her books!) As Mandy already said, I've read a number of these authors, but not these particular books. The TBR list just grew exponentially! Btw, I'm currently reading Tim Keller's book on prayer, simply titled Prayer, with the subtitle, "Experiencing Awe and Intimacy with God." I'm only about 1/3 through and will probably need a new highlighter before I'm through! SO much practical wisdom. Once finished I'll have to backtrack, to digest and put into practice his insightful instruction. It may take a few readings! This book would undoubtedly make another worthwhile, desert-island companion.

I really want to read more of Keller's work. The book on forgiveness was mind blowing in its simplicity and biblical straightforwardness. And this is one of the downsides to reading as MANY books as I do—there's so little opportunity for rereading!

Ok then. I haven't read any of these though I have read several of these authors. I guess you just made my stack of books to read even higher. :)

I’m so enthusiastic about this list of books—in fact writing the newsletter prompted a reread of God in the Dark. It had been too long!
