Living Our January Days
Happy New Year blessings harvested from God’s Word for you and your loved ones.
No time to read? Listen in to the voiceover while your hands are busy!
In this new year, it’s time to sing blessing over our loved ones and over the year. It’s time to be a blessing and to live blessed by remembering the generosity of a faithful God whose promises are solid and whose power is absolute.
The words we say (and even the words we think) are consequential, and they have the power to change history because they also change our future. With that in mind, I’ve harvested words of blessing from God’s Word, an offering to you, in hope that one or more may provide words to wrap around your heart’s longing for good in 2025.
Words of Blessing for 2025
May you discover the Romans 5 domino effect in every challenge 2025 brings. I pray that you will find grace to “rejoice in [y]our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope…” (Romans 5:3-4)
May you daily rejoice in the truth that God is relentlessly pursuing your heart and will stop at nothing to show compassion to you, his child. (Isaiah 30:18)
May your steps be “established by the Lord,” and may you be upheld by his hand. (Psalm 37:23-24)
You will grow tired and weary in 2025. You may even stumble and fall, but may you find grace to “wait upon the Lord.” He waits to “renew your strength” so that you can discover what it’s like to soar on an eagle’s wings. (Isaiah 40:31)
This is a new year and you are new in Christ. May you live in accordance with the newness of life, because “the old has gone; the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
In anticipation of all the marvelous things God has in store for your growth and deepening, may you find yourself singing a new song to the Lord as you begin each day’s work. (Psalm 9:1)
May you walk around every day in the knowledge that God’s mercies are new and his grace is every bit as abundant as it was on the day you trusted him to secure your eternity. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
May everything you feel or see or think be filtered through your new heart, a gift from God, and may your new spirit remind you of the reality of God-presence, shimmering behind everything that comes your way in the coming days. (Ezekiel 11:19)
And in response…
May you open your fresh new calendar with joyful anticipation, founded not merely on optimism, but on hope, your “steadfast anchor of the soul” sunk deep into what you learn every day about the character of God. (Hebrews 6:19)
